Carrie Holmes, Principal & Founder
Carrie is a seasoned project management leader with over 20 years of experience in strategic planning and executing complex real estate development projects. She is dedicated to supporting impactful developments that enhance communities, deliver essential services, rejuvenate existing spaces, and integrate natural elements to foster deeper connections and enriching experiences. Her passion lies in advancing real estate development while championing innovative practices to further the adoption of technology in construction and sustainability of development.
In her previous role as a Project Executive, Carrie demonstrated dynamic leadership by ensuring the alignment of internal and external stakeholders for affordable housing projects. She established critical development workflows and opened lines of communication to lead cross-functional teams in design, product development, off-site manufacturing, and site construction, facilitating the delivery of prefabricated buildings.
In 2007, Carrie founded Axis Planning & Development, LLC to provide owners and developers with expert project and development management services for both public and private commercial real estate projects. In this capacity, she has led cross-functional teams in budget and schedule management, obtaining permits and entitlements, stakeholder reporting, and dispute resolution from project inception to completion. Over her career, Carrie has successfully guided over $500 million in new construction and renovation projects to completion, at times overseeing as many as 40 consultants on a given project. Notably, she played a pivotal role in the historic renovation and expansion of the iconic Pike Place Market.
Carrie began her development career after earning her BA from Washington State University, initially planning a new village at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, followed by growing responsibilities in project and development management for Unico Properties.
Carrie is deeply committed to community service, adventure, and family. She has exemplified this commitment through extensive board service spanning over 12 years serving on Multicare Behavioral Health Foundation Board, Seattle Indian Health Board, Navos, and Seattle Children’s Home. Beyond her board endeavors, Carrie is often found cheering on her daughter in various pursuits or embarking on adventures with her daughter and their loyal four-legged companion
